The best movies and turkeys of 2018 - December 31

So, that's it - the everyfilm quest was unsuccessful for an eighth year and my final figure is a measly 500 reviews - equal to my worst year.
I can make many excuses but I will have to be honest and say that two factors were key.
Firstly, my football team had its most memorable year in living memory with a win at Wembley to secure promotion and cinema has been losing its attraction.
Of course, the studios will point to the best attendances in 50 years but that masks the lack of risks with the avalanche of franchises and remakes.
Surely, there has to be a tipping point but, apparently, it is not yet!
Apologies for missing Aquaman and Spiderman - Into The Spiderverse - I had intended to see them today but ran out of time.
Anyway, despite my disenchantment, I am girding my loins for 2019 and will leave you until tomorrow with my favourites of 2018 - along with my turkeys.
